Edgeset Marketing, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Victory Lap Trail mobile and web application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. • Complete your profile

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

• GPS and precise location data — used to detect proximity to check-in locations and record check-in distance
• Device information (device type, operating system, browser type)
• Usage data (check-in history, points earned, achievements unlocked, session duration)
• Camera access — used only for QR code scanning; no images are stored or transmitted

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect payment card information. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your location data for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Verify your location for check-ins
• Calculate and display scores, streaks, and achievements
• Display leaderboards (username and score only)
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• Improve and troubleshoot the App
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Location Data

Location data is the core function of the App. Specifically:

• We request "precise location" permission to calculate your distance from check-in sites
• Location is only accessed while the App is open and in use (foreground only)
• Your GPS coordinates at the time of check-in are stored to record check-in distance
• We do not track your location continuously or in the background

You may deny location permission at any time in your device settings. If denied, GPS-based check-ins will be unavailable, but QR code check-ins will still work.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a hosted database provided by Supabase, Inc. (supabase.com), located in the United States. We use row-level security controls so that users can only access their own data. While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), hosting providers — only as necessary to operate the App
• Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, or court order
• Business transfer: if we merge, are acquired, or sell assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us at legal@edgesetmarketing.com.

8. Your Rights (Florida Residents)

Under Florida law and general privacy principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Check-in history and scores are retained to maintain leaderboard integrity. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Location descriptions in the App may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies separately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
